The Oswego State women's ice hockey team lost 5-2 to Neumann on Sunday afternoon in an ECAC Women's West game at the Campus Center Ice Arena. Sophomore captain
Jessica Lister had a goal and an assist for the Lakers.
Visiting Neumann built a 3-0 lead on goals from Chelsea Ward, Carly Fitzsimmons, and Vicki Scott. Oswego State's Stephanie Esposito then scored her fourth of the season for the Lakers to reduce the deficit to two goals.
Kristin Gauthier and Jennelle Marier scored in the third period for Neumann, and Lister finished the scoring in the final minute of play, with an assist from Mackenzie May.
Oswego State held Neumann to 1-for-7 on the power play in the game, and just 2-for-15 on the weekend. Laker goalie Erin Robson had 34 saves for Oswego State.
The Lakers are now 3-3-1 on the season, and 1-3-1 in ECAC Women's West play. Neumann is 2-2-0 overall and in the league.
Oswego State hosts Utica on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Campus Center Ice Arena.
