The Oswego State women's basketball team defeated Geneseo 80-61 on Tuesday night in its first SUNYAC game of the season. The Lakers have won two straight games and are now 3-2 overall.
Lacey Kimpland scored 15 points and had four steals in the game, as the Laker defensive pressure caused 28 turnovers and Geneseo shot just 19-for-54 from the field. Samantha Driscoll had 12 points and Jessica Tremblay added 11 points for Oswego State.
Three Lakers -- Jessica Collins, Lyndsey Marquit, and Sarah Lombard -- scored nine points each. Guards Kelly Mraz (seven assists) and Alaina Hannahs (six assists) helped set up teammates.
After playing its first five games away from home, the Lakers make their season debut at Max Ziel Gymnasium on Friday at 6 p.m. versus Ithaca.
