The Oswego State women's ice hockey team improved to 3-0-1 on the year with a 2-1 overtime victory at Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon.

Jenna Kirkwood scored 1:24 into overtime to give the Lakers the victory. Tiffany Duquette made a nice pass to set up the winning goal. Kendra Lemire also assisted on the winning tally.

Those three players also combined on Oswego State's first goal of the game. It was Duquette's first goal of the season, assisted by Kirkwood and Kendra Lemire and it gave the Lakers a 1-0 lead with 16:26 left in the third period. Buffalo State tied the game five minutes later on a power-play goal by Casey Bull.

Oswego State goalie Erin Robson made 18 saves to earn her second victory of the season. The Lakers outshot the Bengals 24-19.

Oswego State is 1-0-1 in the ECAC Women's West. The same two teams will play at Buffalo State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
