The Oswego State field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision at Geneseo on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Geneseo is undefeated in SUNYAC play with a 3-0 record and a 7-2 overall mark. The Lakers fell to 0-3 in conference play and 1-9 on the season.

Lauren Mastriano (Liverpool) scored the lone Laker goal, which was assisted by Jennifer Tordy in the 59th minute. Geneseo scored the first three goals of the match.

The Lakers remained in a scoreless tie with the Blue Knights until the 24th minute when Laura Henson scored to put Geneseo up 1-0.  Jeanine Tripepi added another goal in the 32nd minute for a 2-0 halftime lead. Sarah Doster assisted on both goals. Karen Garnish scored in the second half for the Knights.

Geneseo outshot Oswego State 15-2. The Lakers return to action Tuesday at Union College.
