The Oswego State field hockey team lost its first three games in the 2006 season.

The Lakers lost twice at the Black Eyed Susan Tournament in Owings Mills, Md. hosted by Villa Julie College. In the tournament opener, Oswego State allowed three first-half goals but played even in the second half of a 3-0 loss to York College of Pennsylvania. The second game saw Oswego State drop a 2-1 decision to Villa Julie. Jenna Retzer scored the only Laker goal in the contest.

Oswego State then faced a road game at Elmira College on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and lost a 3-1 decision. Again, Retzer accounted for the Oswego State goal, which was unassisted. Laker senior goalie Kaitlin Daniels has 31 saves through three games this year.
