Oswego State men's basketball team wins another close one in SUNYAC play

The Laker men's basketball team won 64-62 at Fredonia on Friday night, and sealed the win down the stretch at the free-throw line.

Todd Franze led Oswego State with 18 points on the night, and Dominick White scored 11. Back-to-back layups by White and Franze were part of a 13-1 run in the second half that turned a four-point deficit into an eight-point lead.

Oswego State closed the first half with a 12-2 run to take an eight-point lead at the half. The Lakers made 9-of-12 free throws in the final minute of the game to seal the victory. Erik Roberson added 16 points for the Lakers.

Taha Alassari had 17 for the Blue Devils and Kevin Reichlmayr scored 11.

Oswego State is now 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC. The Lakers play at Buffalo State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
