Oneonta's Kevin Reed made a jump shot with seven seconds left to play and gave the Red Dragons a 68-67 win over Oswego State in men's basketball action on Friday. The Lakers had a chance to win it in the closing seconds, but a 3-pointer by
Erik Roberson was off the mark.
Oswego State's Todd Franze led all scorers with 19 points in the game. Roberson added 14 and Mat Burridge and Dominick White scored 10 points each. The Lakers are now 8-7 overall and 4-3 in the SUNYAC.
The Lakers closed the first half with a 20-9 run and led 41-29 at halftime. Oneonta battled back and regained the lead with 5:33 left to play. The last six minutes of the game featured five lead changes and three ties.
Oswego State returns to action on Saturday with a game at Cortland.
