The Oswego State men's basketball team defeated Cortland 82-64 on Friday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.
The Lakers held a 42-29 lead at halftime and went on to the victory. Five players scored in double-figures for Oswego State, paced by 17 points from Todd Franze. Erik Roberson and Kyle Reuter had 14 each, while Tom Downing scored 11 and Mat Burridge added 10.
The Red Dragons were led by Carson Niehoff's 17 points, and Dave Maggiacomo added 11 points.
The Lakers are now 6-3 in SUNYAC games and 10-8 overall. Oswego State plays at Potsdam on Saturday night. Cortland fell to 1-7 in the conference and 5-12 overall.
