The Oswego State women's basketball team built a huge lead in the early going and went on to a 73-43 win at Cazenovia on Thursday.
Oswego State went ahead 29-5 to start the game and cruised to the victory, as all 14 Laker players saw action in the game and everyone scored at least two points. The Lakers also forced 30 Cazenovia turnovers in a strong defensive effort.
Heather Merino led Oswego State with 11 points, and was 5-for-5 from the field in the game. Sarah Lombard was the only other Laker to score in double figures, as she tallied 10 points in the contest. Lyndsey Marquit and Katie Holliday scored eight points each for Oswego State, and Jessica Collins scored seven points.
The Lakers (7-2) will return to Max Ziel Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. game against Hamilton.
