The Oswego State women's soccer team lost a 2-0 game at Geneseo on Friday afternoon.

Oswego State outshot Geneseo 8-4 in the first half, but couldn't beat Geneseo goalkeeper Laura Castor. She earned the shutout with two saves.

The Blue Knights scored two goals in the second half to earn the victory. Geneseo's Eileen Coyle scored on an assist from Alison Lewis in the 70th minute. Coyle's shot went in off the crossbar.

Geneseo scored an insurance goal in the 77th minute as Stephanie Bergin tallied her first of the season on an assist from Karrie Gurbacki.

Laker goalie Toby Klein had four saves in the game.

Oswego State is now 5-7-1 on the season and 4-3-1 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo is 6-6-1 and 4-3-1 in the conference.

The Lakers will play at Brockport on Saturday at 1 p.m.
