Oswego State loses at Brockport

The Oswego State women's soccer team lost 4-2 at Brockport on Saturday afternoon.

The Lakers took an early lead in the eighth minute as Julie McCloskey scored her second goal of the year from the top of the box on an assist from Morgan Vrydaghs.

Brockport tied the game just 55 seconds later on a penalty kick by Jessica VanAllen.

The Golden Eagles took the lead in the 34th minute as Michele Cella scored on an assist from Ashley Holler, and then Cella scored in the 78th minute to extend the lead to 3-1.

Late goals from Jessica Bush of Brockport and Brooke Sherman of Oswego State accounted for the final score.

Brockport held a 15-9 advantage in shots. Laker goalkeeper Toby Klein had four saves.

The Lakers are now 5-8-1 on the year and 4-4-1 in the SUNYAC. Oswego State plays Wednesday at Cortland.
