The Oswego State women's ice hockey team tied Cortland 1-1 in a non-league game at the Campus Center Ice Arena.

The Lakers scored in the opening minute of the game, as Jessica Lister popped in an assist from Tiffany Duquette at 30 seconds of the first period.

Oswego State held a 33-21 shots advantage in the game, but Cortland scored in the last minute of the third period to tie the game. Kalee Stoever scored on a rebound, with assists going to Maggie Henty and Janie Byrd.

Laker goalie Hilary Hitchman made 20 saves, and Cortland's Melissa Stern had 32 saves.

The tie was the third consecutive deadlock between these two teams, who tied in both meetings last season.

Oswego State is now 2-4-1 overall, while Cortland is 1-3-1 on the season.
