The Oswego State men's basketball team lost 86-81 at Plattsburgh on Friday night.

The Lakers are now 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference. Plattsburgh (6-0, 2-0) is ranked 13th in the latest d3hoops.com national poll.</p>

Sophomore
Mahamoud Jabbi led Oswego State with 25 points and
Kyle Reuter and
Nick Perioli each scored 14.
Tommy Downing scored 13 points and
Dom White had nine points and 11 rebounds.</p>

Oswego State led 46-43 at halftime and eventually built a six-point lead early in the second half after Reuter made a pair of free throws. Plattsburgh cut that lead and then went on a 13-2 run to build a 73-62 lead with just over six minutes to play.</p>

The Lakers responded with a run of their own and cut the Cardinal lead down to a single possession in the final minute. Jabbi's layup with 35 seconds left pulled Oswego State to within one point at 82-81. The Lakers fouled Plattsburgh's Anthony Williams, who made one of two free throws. Oswego State had a shot to tie the game with three seconds left but it didn't go and three free throws by the Cardinals in the closing seconds accounted for the final score.</p>

Oswego State returns to action next weekend at the RIT Tournament. The Lakers will face Hilbert College on Friday at 6 p.m.</p>
