The Laker women's basketball team defeated Oneonta 52-49 in overtime on Saturday afternoon at Max Ziel Gymnasium.

Lyndsey Marquit led a balanced Oswego State team with 10 points, while Alaina Hannahs and Lacey Kimpland scored nine points each. Samantha Driscoll added eight points for the Lakers.

Oneonta's Shannon Weir had 17 points to lead all scorers in the game.

Oswego State is now 15-7 on the season and 9-5 in the SUNYAC, they took over sole possession of third place in the conference standings with Geneseo's loss to Potsdam on Saturday. Oneonta is 13-10 overall and 6-8 in the conference.
