Oswego State loses by one point

The Oswego State men's basketball team lost at Plattsburgh 78-77 on Tuesday night in a SUNYAC contest.

The Lakers trailed for the majority of the game, but took a two-point lead when Erik Roberson made a 3-pointer with 1:26 left in the contest to give Oswego State a 77-75 advantage. Plattsburgh's Travis Gorham converted a layup and was fouled on the play, adding a free throw, to put Plattsburgh in front 78-77 with 1:00 left.

Oswego State had chances in the closing seconds but missed two free throws, and after an offensive rebound, missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Roberson led the Lakers with 20 points, while Kyle Reuter added 15. Mat Burridge had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Dominick White had 12 points.

Oswego State is now 13-11 overall and 9-6 in the SUNYAC. The Lakers will host Buffalo State on Saturday at 8 p.m.
