The Oswego State women's ice hockey team scored five goals in the third period and defeated Castleton State 6-3 on Thursday night at the Campus Center Ice Arena.
Jessica Lister had three goals for Oswego State and Mackenzie May scored twice.
The game was tied 1-1 after two periods but the teams combined to score seven goals in an eight-minute span in the third period. Laker sophomore Stephanie Esposito scored with 13:31 left to play to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead and Lister's second of the game put Oswego State ahead 3-1.
The visiting Spartans answered back by scoring two goals, the first by Maryanne Diehm and the second by Steph Purinton, to tie the game 3-3. Those goals came just 1:04 apart in the third period.
Oswego State answered that flurry by scoring the next three goals. Lister completed her hat trick and May scored her second and third goals of the season to account for the final score.
Laker goalie Erin Robson made 28 saves in the game and Castleton State's Kalla Robb had 30 saves.
The Lakers are now 7-10-3 on the season and will wrap up the regular season this weekend with games at Utica on Saturday and Sunday. Both games start at 4 p.m.
