The Oswego State women's ice hockey team lost 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at top-ranked Plattsburgh.

The Lakers kept the game close throughout, largely due to the solid goaltending of Hilary Hitchman, who finished the game with 47 saves and was named as the second star of the game. Plattsburgh scored once in the first period, once in the second, and twice in the third.

Oswego State was outshot 51-14 in the game.

The Lakers are 6-9-2 on the season and 2-6-2 in the ECAC Women's West, while Plattsburgh is 16-0-2 and 7-0-2 in the ECAC Women's West.

The same teams play tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Plattsburgh's Stafford Ice Arena.
