Oswego State defends home court, wins over Geneseo

The Oswego State men's basketball team defeated visiting Geneseo 67-60 on Wednesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium. The teams entered the game tied in the SUNYAC standings.

The Lakers had a balanced offensive attack led by Kyle Reuter's 16 points, another 14 points for Mat Burridge, and 12 points for Todd Franze. Burridge also had six rebounds and Tom Downing had five assists.

Oswego State held Geneseo to just seven field goals in the first half, and built a 28-19 lead at the break. Steve McDonnell led the Knights with 24 points in the game, and Tarik Kitson and Scott Morton had 10 points each.

Oswego State is now 11-10 overall and 7-5 in the SUNYAC, while Geneseo is is 12-9 overall and 6-6 in the conference. The Laker homestand continues this weekend with home games on Friday at 8 p.m. against New Paltz, and Saturday at 4 p.m. against Oneonta.
