Lakers end scoreless streak in loss to Hamilton

The Oswego State field hockey team scored its first two goals of the season in a 10-2 loss at Hamilton College on Wednesday night. The host Continentals scored four goals in the first half en route to the victory.

The Lakers fell behind 6-0 in the contest before breaking through with two consecutive goals. The first Oswego State goal was an unassisted tally by sophomore Lauren Mastriano with 14:09 left to play. Freshman Lori Teaney scored Oswego State's second goal just 2:38 later on an assist from Mastriano to make the score 6-2.

Hamilton then added four goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to seal the victory.

Laker goalie Sarah Hafter made 14 saves as Oswego State was outshot 40-7 in the game. The Laker goals were the first this season through four and a half games.

Oswego State is now 0-5 on the year and will begin SUNYAC play at home this Saturday against Morrisville at 1 p.m.
