The Hamilton Continentals defeated the Oswego State Lakers 530-543 in a men's golf dual-meet on Tuesday at Oswego Country Club. The Continentals were paced by a pair of 1-over-par rounds of 72 by Phil Preiss and Jeff Corbett on the par-71 layout that played to 6,410 yards. Preiss and Corbett were co-medalists in the match.
Hamilton's Kevin Osborne posted a round of 73 to finish third among all individuals, and Dave Christie of Hamilton and Dave Joseph of Oswego State tied for fourth with scores of 74. Joseph was the low scorer for the Lakers. Hamilton sent nine players out to the course and Oswego State had 10 competitors, with the lowest seven scores counting toward the team total for both sides.
The Lakers will compete in the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park this weekend.
