The Oswego State women's basketball team lost 76-57 to visiting New Paltz on Friday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.
The Lakers shot just 27.6 percent from the field in the game, including making just 5-of-27 field-goal attempts in the second half. Sam Driscoll led the Lakers with 15 points in the game and Rachel Kohrs and Heather Merino each scored eight points. Sarah Lombard had nine rebounds for Oswego State.
Artie Williams paced the New Paltz Hawks with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Kristen Caban scored 10 points. Amber Sohns and Chelsea Clarke were the leading rebounders, as each pulled down seven boards.
New Paltz is now 7-3 overall and 2-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference. Oswego State fell to 5-5 overall and 1-2 in the SUNYAC. Both teams return to action on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., with Oswego State hosting Oneonta and New Paltz playing at Morrisville.
