Perioli, Downing lead Lakers to SUNYAC win over Oneonta

The Oswego State men's basketball team made some big plays late in the game and defeated Oneonta State 79-73 on Saturday afternoon at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego.

Tommy Downing made a crucial jump shot from 12 feet with 19 seconds left that extended the Laker lead to four points, and Nick Perioli and Downing each went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line in the closing seconds to help seal the victory.

Both Downing and Perioli finished the game with 23 points to lead the game in scoring. Kyle Reuter had 13 points for Oswego State.
