Lakers' two-game win snapped with 4-0 loss to SUNYAC leading Geneseo

The Oswego State field hockey team were held to only two total shots in having had its two-game winning streak snapped, dropping a 4-0 decision to host and SUNYAC leading Geneseo on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The Lakers (3-8 overall, 2-3 SUNYAC) were clearly outmatched throughout the contest as the host Knights (5-4, 4-0 SUNYAC) scored twice in the first half and added two more goals in the second half. Geneseo held a 31-2 advantage in shots and registered 27 penalty corners to only two for Oswego.  Both Laker shots came in the second half.  Sophomore goalie Jamie Scharfe (Webster/Webster Schroeder) made 12 saves.

The Lakers continue SUNYAC play on Thursday, Oct. 9 with a 4 p.m. home contest with The College at Brockport.
