The Oswego State men's basketball team defeated Morrisville 81-72 on Friday and the victory clinched a playoff berth for the Lakers.

Oswego State is now 10-3 in the SUNYAC and 16-5 overall.

Tommy Downing scored 26 points to lead Oswego State and four other players scored in double figures including Mahamoud Jabbi with 17, Nick Perioli with 14, and Kyle Reuter and Dom White with 10 points each.

The Lakers are back in action Wednesday at SUNYIT at 8 p.m. in a rescheduled game, originally slated for Feb. 1 that was postponed due to weather conditions.
