The Oswego State women's ice hockey team lost 5-0 at Elmira on Sunday afternoon in an ECAC Women's West game at the Murray Athletic Center.
The Lakers finished their season with an 8-16-1 overall record and a 3-13-0 record in the ECAC Women's West.
Oswego State held the seventh-ranked Soaring Eagles off the scoreboard for the first 39 minutes behind good team defense and the goaltending of Emi Williams. Elmira broke through with the game's first goal with 24 seconds left in the second period as Farren Hart scored on assists from Erika Godwin and Rebecca Coakley.
Elmira added four goals in the third period, including two on the power play to account for the final score.
Oswego State's Williams made 44 saves in the game, and Cara McGurry of Elmira made eight saves to earn the shutout.
