The Oswego State men's basketball team lost 89-75 to Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC championship game on Saturday afternoon at Plattsburgh's Memorial Hall. The top-seeded Cardinals, ranked 10th in the nation, took advantage of their familiar confines and shot 56.6 percent from the field on their home court.

The Lakers trailed by double digits for most of the second half as the Cardinals answered every run by Oswego State. Kyle Reuter scored 21 points to lead Oswego State, and Nick Perioli added 18 points. Tommy Downing scored 12 points and Mahamoud Jabbi added 11.

With three blocked shots in the game, Mahamoud Jabbi became the SUNYAC tournament record holder for most blocked shots in a tournament, as he rejected 14 opponent shots over the three games.

All-American point guard Anthony Williams scored 30 points for Plattsburgh and Travis Gorham added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Cardinals. The Cardinals won their third consecutive SUNYAC Championship.

Tommy Downing and Nick Perioli were named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team along with Khylan Hunt and Travis Gorham of Plattsburgh, and Sherod Harris of Brockport. Williams was named as the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
