The Oswego State women's soccer team gave up the game's only goal midway into the second half, dropping a 1-0 decision to unbeaten St. Lawrence University in its home opener on Thursday, Sept. 11 at Laker Field.

Saints rookie Kristina Peso outran a pair of defenders in pursuit and put a shot past Laker goalie Toby Klein at the 65:23 mark.  St. Lawrence (4-0-1) took 14 shots while its defense held Oswego State to only two shots, both coming in the final minutes of the game.

The Lakers (2-1) will travel to Hamilton College on Saturday, Sept. 13 for a 3:00 p.m. contest before returning home the following weekend (Sept. 20) to face defending SUNYAC champion Oneonta State in the conference opener at 1:00 p.m.
