Senior guard Tommy Downing (Staten Island/Curtis) scored a game-high 24 points to go along with two assists, two blocked shots and a game-leading four steals as Oswego State captured its third straight triumph in SUNYAC play with a 69-67 win at Fredonia State on Friday, Jan. 16.

Downing was one of three players scoring in double figures for the Lakers (8-4 overall, 4-1 SUNYAC) as freshman Chad Burridge (Hannibal) tallied a "double-double" with 17 points and 12 steals to go with two blocks and two steals, and senior Kyle Reuter (Mexico) contributed 14 points, a block and two steals. Oswego forced 16 Fredonia turnovers.
