OSWEGO — Junior forward and co-captain 
Jenna Kirkwood (Chilliwack, BC) scored her fourth goal of the season on the power play with 48 seconds left in overtime to lift Oswego State past SUNY Cortland, 1-0, in the first of a two-game ECAC Women's West weekend series at the Campus Center Ice Arena.
 Kirkwood, planted in front of the Cortland net, took a pass from the left faceoff circle and squeezed a shot past Cortland goaltender Katie Double (Farmington/Victor HS). Senior Ashley Meyers (Lockport) and sophomore Erica Shapey (Plainview) each registered an assist on the play.
 The Lakers (7-9-1, 4-6-1 ECAC Women's West) heavily outshot the Red Dragons, 33-16, and did not allow a single shot in the second period. Sophomore goaltender Emi Williams (Anchorage, AK) picked up the shutout in the victory, turning away all 16 shots she faced. Double stopped 32 of 33 shots in picking up the overtime loss for Cortland (3-12-3, 2-7-2 ECAC Women's West).
