Sarah Eichelberger tallied the game-winning goal with 2:14 left in the first overtime period Saturday as host Nazareth handed the Oswego State women's soccer team a 2-1 loss.

Rachel Allen (So., Elmsford, N.Y.) put the Lakers ahead at 14:01 on the squad's lone shot of the first half.  The Golden Flyers outshot Oswego State 9-1 in the period, but managed just one shot on goal as the score was 1-0 at halftime.

The Lakers could not keep Nazareth off of the board though as Deborah Towle evened the match with an unassisted goal in the 75th minute of play.  Rachel Piemonte nearly recorded the game-winner in the 77th minute for the Golden Flyers, but her shot careened off of the crossbar.  Oswego goalkeeper Christina Fregosi (Massapequa, N.Y.) made a vital save after a shot from Chelsea Kuss with less than 40 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

In the extra session, Eichelberger ended the game with the fifth Nazareth shot of overtime at 97:46.  The Golden Flyers, who improved to 5-2-1 overall, owned a 31-9 advantage in shots and a 11-5 margin in corner kicks.  Fergosi made 11 saves in the losing effort, while Polly Muehlenkamp came off of the bench in the second half to make five saves and earn the victory.

The Lakers, who fell to 4-4 overall, will face RIT on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Rochester.
