The Lakers shot 36.2 percent (25-for-69) comparatively, but hit eight three-pointers and pounded the offensive glass for 19 boards. Coach Stockwell's troop led by as many as eight points near the midway point of the first half at 22-14 after Hayden Ward drained a pair of shots from the charity stripe.  Buffalo State answered with a 15-1 run as Ant Hamer scored nine of his 12 points during the stretch to give the Bengals a 29-23 lead with 6:48 on the game clock.

Oswego State tied up the game less than a minute later as the Lakers registered quick points in transition, and went on to carry a 41-39 lead into the locker room.

The margin grew to seven points before Jake Simmons and Antonio Samedi teamed up to record 14 points as part of another large Buffalo State 16-1 streak.  Burridge ended the Oswego State scoring drought with a three from the top of the arc to pull the Lakers to within five points at 55-50.

Each squad traded possessions until a trey from Ryan Sheridan cut the Oswego State deficit to two points with 1:57 remaining.  However, the Bengals made six of their next eight free throws to clinch win.

Conor Monaghan registered 15 points for the Lakers behind the strength of a 4-for-5 performance from the three-point line.  T.O. Jackson led Buffalo State with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Samedi ended the contest with 15 points.

Oswego State fell to 7-6 overall and 2-5 in the SUNYAC, while Buffalo State moved to 6-7 and 4-3 in the league standings.  The Lakers return to the hardwood on Saturday against Fredonia in Oswego for a 4 p.m. tip-off.  The Bengals will face Cortland on the road at 4 p.m.
