Kelsey Moran's goal with nearly 13 minutes remaining pulled the Oswego State field hockey team to within one goal, but Oneonta scored two goals in the waning moments to hand the Lakers a 5-2 loss Friday in Oneonta. Oswego State dropped to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in league play, while the Red Dragons improved to 9-5 on the season and 2-3 in the SUNYAC standings.

Brittany Roetzer's shot for her first goal of the season. The Red Dragons tallied two more goals before the half, though, as Megan Warning and Carly Fuller's unassisted goals gave Oneonta a 3-1 lead at intermission.

Kelsey Moran registered her first marker of the year by putting away a rebound after her own shot.
Kelly Collins had an opportunity to even the score at 3-3 minutes later, but Red Dragon goalie Leslie Dauphinais steered away the potential equalizing goal. Oneonta added insurance goals in the final two minutes off the sticks of Warning and Basher for the victory.
