The Oswego State women's ice hockey team controlled the contest, but came away with a 1-1 tie to Cortland Friday night in Cortland. The Lakers outshot the Red Dragons by a margin of 35-21, including 20 shots in the second period. Oswego State moved to 1-2-2 overall and 0-1-2 in the ECAC West, while Cortland went to 0-3-1 on the season and 0-2-1 in the league.

Emi Williams at the 2:13 mark. Cortland took a body checking later in the frame, but Oswego State was unable to capitalize with the skater advantage. The Lakers dominated the regulation period, however, both squads eventually skated to the 1-1 tie.
Williams tallied 20 saves on 21 shots, while Sarah Sitcov recorded 34 saves on 35 shots on goal. Both squads take to the ice again Saturday at 7 p.m.
