The Oswego State women's soccer team played to a scoreless tie at halftime, but was unable to hold off Hamilton in a 2-0 loss on Sunday afternoon in Clinton. Lauren Faver put the Continentals on the scoreboard early in the second half, which eventually became the game-winning goal. The Lakers, who moved to 1-1 overall, will open the home portion of their schedule on Saturday against RIT at 1 p.m. Hamilton improved to 1-0-1 overall.
The Continentals dictated the tempo from the opening whistle, but Oswego State withstood the pressure to enter halftime knotted at 0-0. However, Hamilton got on the scoreboard in the 49th minute with Faver's goal from a rebound that clanged off of the crossbar. Anne Graveley provided an insurance goal in the 82nd minute to clinch the victory.

Christina Fregosi (Massapequa, N.Y.) ended the contest with three saves as Oswego State was outshot by a margin of 19-1. Hamilton also managed five corner kicks compared to none for the Lakers.
