OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team (7-8-1, 6-4-0 ECAC West) sits third in the conference standings entering the weekend, but the Buffalo State Bengals (5-9-1, 2-4-0 ECAC West) travel to Oswego this weekend to try and shake up the playoff picture in the Oswego State Games of the Week.
The Lakers host the Bengals on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. in the important series. Only six of the nine teams in the conference qualify for the postseason, and the top four seeds host a game.
The Lakers lead Utica by three points and hold an eight-point edge over the Bengals. However, if the Lakers overlook the Bengals, their lead over Buffalo State could be cut in half.
After two losses at national No. 1, Plattsburgh, Oswego State looks to rebound in the upcoming weekend.
