Aurora, N.Y. The Oswego State field hockey team blanked Wells College 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Athletic Association Field. The victory boosts the Lakers to 4-6 overall following the non-conference contest. With the loss, the Express conclude the 38th season in program history with a 3-12 overall record.
Lisa O'Callaghan and
Rachel Johnston each scored for Oswego lifting the visitors to a 2-0 lead all before the tilt's 24th minute. The next three Lakers goals were scored by
Ashley Fiorille, who tripled her season total in the outing.
Cassie Langone and
Julia Calandra each tallied a goal while assisting the other's strike to round out the day's scoring.
The Lakers' starting keeper,
Priscilla Paulose, did not face a shot on-goal, while her relief,
Grace Lombardi, turned aside both Express shots in the second half.
Oswego will return to action at 11 a.m. on Saturday when it travels to take on The College at Brockport for a SUNYAC matchup.
