New Paltz, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's soccer team moved to 6-2 on the season and 1-0 in the SUNYAC with a 1-0 win at SUNY New Paltz on Friday evening.

Nikki Liadka showed why she is one of the nation's best goal scorers in the 74th minute when she notched the game-winner in unassisted fashion. The goal was her ninth of the season, which keeps her in the top 30 in total goals for the NCAA national statistics.

In goal, Alyssa Glasshagel played all 90 minutes, racking up four saves on the way to her second shutout of the season.

The Lakers will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday for another SUNYAC showdown, this time at Oneonta.
