Ithaca, N.Y.—The Oswego State field hockey team's early lead was not enough to hold off Ithaca College. Oswego fell to 0-2 on the year with the 5-2 loss to the Bombers on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bombers scored first on a goal by Lindsay Flanagan. Oswego's
Lisa O'Callaghan answered within two minutes, scoring her first goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
Grace Rinaldi scored the go ahead-goal at 29:08 on an assist from
Ashley Fiorille. Fiorille now has two assists on the season.
Ithaca's Danielle Coiro tied the game at two before the half. Flanagan and Coiro each scored their second goal of the game in the second half while Katie Kennedy scored her first, giving Ithaca the 5-2 win.
Priscilla Paulose played 70 minutes in the goal for the Lakers. She made seven saves in the game.
The Lakers travel to Rochester for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday with Nazareth College.
