Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Oswego Scores Two in Shutout Win

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team defeated Buffalo State 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at home. The win pushes Oswego to 3-8-2 on the year and 2-3-1 in the conference. Buff State moves to 2-9-1, 0-4-1.

The game started evenly as both teams found opportunities in the first minutes but were unable to convert. It was Connor Lunduski, for the Lakers, who was able to strike first. The freshman stole the ball from a defender at the top of the box and fired a low shot that beat Buffalo State's keeper 32:18 into the game.

Lunduski's score sparked the offense, as the team was able to score another goal 1:59 later. A corner kick by Oswego was headed out of the box only to be corralled by Tom Bartyzel. The midfielder then sent a cross back into the box for a charging Andrew Moorman, who was able to sink the ball into the back of the net with his head.
.
Oswego locked down the Bengals defensively for the rest of the game, securing a 2-0 victory for its second conference win.

Keeper Todd Lawson made two saves on the day and increased his shutout total to two on the year.

Men's soccer will be back in action at 3 p.m. on Friday for an away match at Geneseo.
