OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego State athletics is set to enter the month of October with an action-packed weekend. Five teams have contests, in which one will be hosting home games.
Men's soccer returns home after a 1-1 double OT tie at New Paltz to kick off its Alumni Weekend. The Lakers will host two SUNYAC contests, as they face Potsdam at 3 p.m. on Friday and Plattsburgh at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Friday's game is also a #STAYCLASSYLAKERS event, so send a tweet and picture of the event with that hashtag to @oswegoathletics for the chance to win a prize at the end of the year.

Women's soccer will continue SUNYAC play on the road this weekend after coming off a 2-0 win against conference-foe New Paltz. The Lakers will play Potsdam at 4 p.m. on Friday before traveling to Plattsburgh for a 1 p.m. matchup on Saturday.

Women's tennis will host two matches this weekend, starting with a showdown against Plattsburgh at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Following an 8-1 rout over Fredonia last week, the Lakers will look to serve the Cardinals a loss before playing a nonconference matchup against Alfred University at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
After tying for second place in the Keuka Fall Invite, men's golf will travel to Rochester for this weekend's two-round ECAC Championship. Tee-off for both rounds will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Blue Heron Hills Golf Club in Macedon, N.Y.
To conclude the weekend, men's tennis will play a two-game series against Alfred University. The first bout will begin at 12 p.m. on Sunday, with the second match starting directly after the conclusion of the first. Both contests will be played at the Romney Tennis Courts.
