BOX SCORECLINTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team was beat 5-0 at Hamilton College on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 2-3 on the year while the Continentals improve to 3-1.
Sarita Charap started in net for the Lakers and made eight saves in the opening 35 minutes before
Grace Lombardi took over and collected two stops in the second period.
Lisa O'Callaghan led the squad with three shot attempts in the game, one of which was on-goal.
Oswego was undone by a 10-minute stretch in the first half, as Hamilton was able to score four goals to gain control of the contest. Eva Rosencrans notched three of those goals during the span, assisting on the other.
The Continentals held a 4-0 advantage at half before Caroline Ames scored the second half's only goal off a penalty corner at 36:07.
Oswego will try to move back to .500 on the season when SUNYAC play begins at 4 p.m. on Friday with Brockport at South Athletic Field.
