NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Oswego State field hockey droppeda 2-0 Friday contest at New Paltz. The team falls to 2-5 on the year and 0-2 in the SUNYAC while the Hawks improve to 5-3, 1-0.

Sarita Charap played well between the pipes for the Lakers, making 11 saves, only two shy from her career-best, set in the first game of the 2014 season.

Monica Harvey had Oswego's two shots-on-goal in the game while Lisa O'Callaghan attempted a shot that was fired but found a Hawk defender before it reached the goal. 

Field Hockey returns to the field tomorrow at 1 p.m. for another away SUNYAC competition, this time with Oneonta.
