OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State department of athletics has seven teams competing this weekend, with four of those playing on campus.
 
Nationally-ranked men's ice hockey is the only team in action on Friday, hosting Buffalo State at 7 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Marano Campus Center Arena. After taking on the Bengals on Friday, the No. 4/4 Lakers will wrap their SUNYAC weekend with Fredonia at the same time on Saturday.

The final team participating on campus this weekend is men's and women's swimming and diving. Oswego will bring Geneseo into Laker Pool at 1 p.m. for a meet.
 
Women's ice hockey, who broke into the D3hockey.com poll earlier this week at No. 10, has an important weekend ahead. The Lakers will travel to Plattsburgh to take on the nation's No. 1 squad in two ECAC West contest. Oswego and the Cardinals will face each other at 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Last, but certainly not least, is the indoor men's and women's track and field teams, which will be on the road at the Houghton Invitational at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Lakers will look to carry its good performance from their first meet of the season last weekend at St. Lawrence University into Saturday's competition.
