AURORA, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey dropped its final nonconference match of the regular season 1-0 at Wells College on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, Oswego now has a 3-8 mark on the season while the Express improve to 4-9.
Despite taking seven more penalty corners than Wells (8-1), Oswego was unable to find the back of the net over the course of the contest. The game's only tally came in the 28
th minute when Shianne Stokes crossed the ball from right to left to Chandler Fitzgerald for the score.
Oswego recorded four shots in the tilt, two of which were on-goal. Senior
Lisa O'Callaghan accounted for three of the team's shots and both of its on-goal chances.
In goal, sophomore
Sarita Charap made one save in the loss.
The Lakers will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when it hosts SUNYAC-foe Cortland for Senior Day.
