GENESEO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell 2-1 to Geneseo on the road Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers moved to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference. The Knights go to 9-7 on the year, 4-2 in SUNYAC play.
Oswego found themselves behind two goals to none going into the second half, looking for an offensive push. The call was answered by
Emily Lange, who put one on the scoreboard for the Lakers with 9:40 remaining in regulation. Oswego earned two penalty corners in the last five minutes and recorded two shots off them, but were unable to convert, falling 2-1 to Geneseo.
Sarita Charap finished the day with five saves, while the team recorded three defensive saves.
Field Hockey will have its final bout of the season at 7 p.m. on Tuesday as the team heads to Rochester, N.Y. to take on St. John Fisher College.
