MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team closed out its season with a 2-1 come-from-behind nonconference win at Morrisville State on Wednesday evening.
After a scoreless first half, in which Laker keeper
Todd Lawson made five of his six saves on the day, the Mustangs finally got an attempt past the goalie for a 1-0 advantage at 46:18. Just over 10 minutes later, Oswego notched the equalizer, as sophomore
Connor Lunduski scored his second goal of the season in unassisted fashion.
Later in the period, junior
Mitch Brickman took a direct kick, skipping it over the Morrisville keeper for the left-back's first tally of the year. The Brickman goal proved to be the game-winner, as the Lakers held the Mustangs off the scoreboard for the final 19:17.
With the victory, Oswego ends the year with a 5-10-1 mark and a 1-8 record in SUNYAC contests.
