PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team fell 4-1 to No. 23 Plattsburgh on the road Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers move to 4-5-1 on the season and 1-3 in the conference. Plattsburgh improves to 9-1-2 on the year, 1-0-2 in the SUNYAC.
Coming out of halftime down 1-0 to the Cardinals, Oswego was able to put in a quick goal to even it up.
Bernard Osei volleyed a bouncing ball from 18-yards out beating the Cardinal keeper at the 1:34 into the second. Plattsburgh tacked on three more throughout the half though, handing the Lakers their fifth loss of the season.
Todd Lawson notched three saves in 90 minutes of play.
Men's soccer returns to the pitch at 3 p.m. on Friday as the team travels to Fredonia to take on the Blue Devils.
