OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State baseball fell 6-4 to Ithaca College Tuesday evening at Laker Baseaball Field. With the loss, Oswego moves to 24-9 on the season, while it's SUNYAC record remains 14-4. The Bombers improve to 14-13 overall.

After going scoreless through the first two frames, the Lakers broke the game open with three runs in the bottom of the third. With one out, Wes Randall singled up the middle, driving home Simmons who was on second. During the same play, on the relay in, Ithaca's centerfielder overthrew the third basemen, allowing Saccocio to score as well. With Randall now on third due to the throwing error, Eric Hamilton belted a ball to centerfield giving him the RBI on sacrifice fly.

Ithaca would put its first run on the board in the following inning, as Trevor Thompson hit a solo home run. The comeback would be cut short though as Charles Arcuri was able to get out of the side. The Lakers would tack on their next run in the sixth as Kollar singled into center field scoring John Rauseo.

Everything would remain quiet for both teams until the final inning. It was here where Ithaca was able to rack up five runs taking the 6-4 lead. Oswego would put a runner on in the bottom of the inning, as Liner was walked, but it wasn't enough as the Bombers closed out the inning and, in turn, the game.

Arcuri started for the Lakers, pitching five innings and striking out two in the process. He was relieved by Robert Donnelly who held Ithaca scorless through the next three. Dylan Kohlman then was called in the at start of the ninth allowing two runs, only to be quickly replaced by Mickey Putillo. Putillo let up three more while accumulating two outs as well.
