OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Oswego State field hockey team dropped a 2-1 nonconference contest to Hartwick College on Wednesday afternoon. Oswego falls to 7-4 on the year and Hartwick improves to 11-4.

Hartwick's two second-half goals were enough to upend the Lakers in this contest. After taking the lead midway through the first, Oswego was unable to keep up the rest of the way.

Lacey Woite's goal in the 25th minute of the contest, put the Lakers up 1-0. Woite, received a pass across the arc from Corinne Kimmelman and throttled it through the zone, past the goalie and into the net. It was the sixth tally of the season for the sophomore.

Oswego took five shots with three coming on-goal and also earned four penalty corners.

Goalie Sarita Charap recorded five saves in the contest and played all 70 minutes in the goal.

Field hockey will return to action on the road on at 4 p.m. on Friday to play conference foe New Paltz.
