Laker Golf Places Fourth at ECAC Championship

RESULTS

VICTOR, N.Y. – The Oswego State golf team stood alone in fourth place after the final day of the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship, hosted by St. John Fisher College at Ravenwood Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Oswego followed its Saturday 298 with a Sunday 303 for a two-round total of 601 (+25). New York University won the tournament by one stroke with a 584, outdueling St. John Fisher College and Rutgers-Camden (585).

Leading the way for the Lakers were Corey Marshall and Joshua Krause who tied with three other golfers for 14th place. The two shot 148 (+4) with inverse performance over the two days. Marshall shot a 73 on Saturday and a 75 on Sunday, while Krause reversed those outcomes (75, 73). After pacing Oswego with an even-par 72 on Saturday, Sean Paul Owen turned in a Sunday 79 to finish in a tie for 22nd (151, +7).

Closing out the Laker scorers on Sunday was Nick Gramuglia, shaving two strokes of his Saturday tally for a 76 and a two-round total of 154 (+10).

Oswego closes the books on the fall of its 2016-17 season, returning to the links in early April to begin the spring slate.
